G'day Mate

So finally i have left asia, not that i didn't hate it but i wanted to arrive at the country that is such an integral place for my travels.......Australia.
Firstly a quick summary about what i have been up 2 before that flight. I arrived in singapore which is where i was stopped by customs and could face a fine for having.........chewing gum, yep chewing gum. Its banned in the country and if your caught with it in singapore there is a hefty fine, i wonder if they have chewing gum sniffing dogs or something, that would be quite amusing.
So after setting myself up in a hostel with this dutch fellow called wouter(walter for the english, pic is above) who was a friend of anne (the persons house i was staying at) we decided to hit the town and go to ministry of sound, cause he claims there is nothing to do in singapore and i couldn't be fucked to find out or not. Let me give u an idea of the clubbing scene in singapore......the club is massive, decroted well, big dancefloors and 2 free drinks on entry. Although the first thing i noticed was the amount of prossies hanging around and dancing . A bit disturbing, thank god they weren;t lady boys and actually looked kinda hot....probably cause they had barely any clothes on which was nice. It was an ok night nothing special but i was feeling a little bit ruff from the nite before so i was taking it slow unfortunately but still managed to rave to some techno tunes and also go into the god awful 80's disco room full of old english and irish ppl doing the white man dance.
We decided we had enough and headed home.
Well next day i decided to do some exploring around the city, i arrived at the main shopping district which was basically a majority of singapore. You would expect to find cheap ass clothes, expensive clothes and fake clothes.....i went in the direction of the fake and cheap ass clothes, i was not disappointed, picking up a few bargains. By far the best thing about singapore was the food, so much food, so much good and cheap food i loved it, i went for double portions and loved every bite twas gorgeous stuff. I also decided to at last buy a digital camera cause they are so ridiculous cheap in singapore and i picked me up a nice one. Here is a picture of some kids playing in the high pressure fountains which i was waiting to see if any of them would stand over it hehe, also the bag i am living out of.

Saturday nite walter took me to meet some of his mates and also watch the german game, now i didn't know that it was going to be a german bar fall of tall bloody germans, i couldn't even see the screen they were just towering over me. Well a tried some german beer which was brewed in the bar which was pretty cool but the beer was disgusting i'm never having german beer again. They were all pretty happy seeing as how they one 2-0 heres a pic of all those crazy bastards celebrating.
After leaving the crazed german beer we headed to anoter club called Attica which was pretty cool cause i couldn't get into Attica in London but i got in here no prob. Again same sorta stuff nothin special at all quite annoyed, well i know never to go clubbing in singapore again.
Heres a pic that i took so that i seemed like a professional photographer, it was taken outside the departures lounge at singapore airport.

Well at long last i arrived in sydney with nothin but my backpack and shades. I was wearing shorts and a t-shirt so that i could get used to the nice weather, while walking by customs some customs officer said its a bit chilly out there, ha probably for them and its probably summer for me. Oh boy was i wrong, it was fucking freezing i could not move i was shivering, its like winter in the uk, damn for not listening to my mum about packing a jumper, feck. Although it was 5:20am and it is winter time in oz but hey i just chose to ignore it like a fool.
After getting some minibus to my hostel i met some german girl called sarah who seemed pretty cool and we were staying at the same hostel so got chatting.
We arrived at the hostel, i got a room with 5 other guys (no mixed dorms here god dammit) but they were all sleeping so i had to drop my bags and change into some jeans quietly.
At this point it was still fucking freezing so i dragged sarah to find a mall and buy some jumpers. I found a footlocker which was annoying cause they were just a little bit cheaper than england but hey i was desperate so i bought 2 nike hoodies. It was so called i had to wear both of them, thats how bad it was. In general for the first day i didn't do too much, just making sure i opened an account, got a tax number and a sim card. The sun started to shine in the afternoon which was pretty good although it was still pretty cold but better. We had a quick look around the city getting our bearings and what not. I had a nice little kip cause i was nackered and i woke up just in time for the oz-italy game. There was a bar just downstairs which was kinda packed so i met these 2 english lads and we decided to go watch it together. The club was playing disco hits as well and it seemed exactly like the redback, very strange. Well the game ended in heartbreak for the aussies which was a shame as they didn't deserve too lose on some shitty penalty.
Right so 2day i decided to go to places and become a tourist in sydney, i went with sarah to the harbour which was really cool and the weather was good as well. We took some pics which u can see of various things that i thought was intresting and anything that i wanted to take a pic of.
So other then going around the city and taking pics i've been searching for accommodation and jobs, the job hunting didn't go so well cause i forgot my cv like a twat so i'm in the process of typing it out now. Right well i'm going to piss off to the bar now, i'm going to upload all my pics to my yahoo website but i cant be bothered to do it now so i'll do it 2moro or something.
Enjoy

No tickets but i have free accommodation!!

Well well well. I didn''t lose my ticket for the train or the boat which was good.
After getting off the boat and getting on the bus to head to the train station i met this cool dutch bird who goes by the name of anna. We got chatting about shit and it turns out she lives in KL and works there for some big company pretty cool. I explained my situation with the tickets and she offered her house as a place i could stay to sleep and try and get my tickets sorted which was really cool considering shes known me for about a couple of hours, i mean i could be some serial killer. Who knows.
Well anyways got on the train towards a place called butterworth which is Malaysia we hopped off. We were about to get a bus to KL then we remembered there is an island about 10mins away called Penang (yep saki i went there) so we decided to get on a boat and head over there and explore a lil bit. We arrived at 11am so we had plenty of time. We were going to have a swim and chill on the beach but it started pissing down which was quite annoying. We decided to go have some food and head back. After our meal it stopped raining so we thought we should rent a motorbike and look around the island. After basically heading straight we ended up in the middle of a jungle road it was pretty funky shit with great views of the city cause we were so high up. We ventured around found some waterfall but because its not rainiy season it wasn't that great but hey nevermind.
We knew that we had to get back before 10pm for the last boat and train so we weren't that worried until it started taking quite a while to get out of the jungle eventually we got out but realised we were at the bottom of the island while we needed to be at the top. After finally returning we realised it took around 5hrs to circle the island cause of the damn curvy jungle roads but it was a good laugh.
We hopped on a bus to KL arrived there at 4am we went straight back to her apartment and slept she had work in the morning the poor girl but i didn't hehe. Next day i woke up had a lil tour around her building and damn she is doing alright for herself swimming pool, sweet 1 bedroom place lucky bitch.
Well first thing first in KL visit the ex worlds tallest building the petronas towers i was quite gutted when i realised that it didn't go to the top and it only went half way which was ok but not great. I explored the city from top to bottom visiting china town (its funny as how there is a china town in every city) little india and some places that dont have little in front of it. It is a very nice city but again it is a city and i get bored of cities very quickly. 2moro i might visit this massive casino on some giant hill and have a go with some slot machines which should be pretty cool.
btw i haven't posted any pics yet cause i have to get them developed and i'm a lil lazy so i'll probably do it when i arrive in oz. As for the tickets there is a long process involved so i might leave to oz until monday but i shall see what happens.

Alright peeps till next time

Holy shizzle dizzle Batman

My god..................I think that was most fun for one nite i ever had, it was crazy and i loved it. Right so arrive at Koh Phangon in the morning stayed at some place called chills resort which was some damn cool it was so chilled out plus they had 300+ dvds too watch if your bored :) loads of family guy for me. Anyways i'll skip my boring day and head straight to the nite. I decided to rent a bike to head to the full moon party as i couldn't be bothered to wait for a cab so i set off at around 9pm and it was pretty dark and that wasn't good because i encountered some crazy steep fucking hills and loads of potholes in the road yikes.
Well i finally arrived to the bars and stuff, i agreed to meet these 2 brit birds i met off a gapyear website so we could go together. As i was walking towards the bar i bumped into some of the guys i met on the train down here how fucking crazy is that. So we both got a bucket........right explanation time.....a thai bucket is a bucket filled with different combinations of alcohol, the one i had involved a small bottle of whisky the ones drunks drink on the side streets, redbull and something else. Cheap and yet it could kill you but i loved it. So i grabbed the guys i met and met with girls and started to drink these crazy ass buckets.
We decided to head to the main attraction, the beach. It was mental never seen anything like it, a giant stretch of beach with so many ppl getting wasted it was great. Everyone around was drinking these buckets and the music was loud. Now the great thing was that even though i was with a group we all started just chatting to random ppl and they came and started chatting to us telling us about where they have been where they are from etc. I met so many ppl who cant remember but it was quality. After roaming around a bit more buying more buckets we found some more ppl we met off the train, for all the ppl there to see ppl you know is crazy especially to find them. The girls now there were so many girls fit ones of that and they loved everyone cause they were so wasted, so me and this guy called paul were walking around chatting to them while walking like penguins cause we were starting to get really smashed.
The thing about this party that makes it famous is the amount of drugs going around and there were plenty although you had to be carefull as there about 1500-2000 undercover police waiting to catch you out. The one thing i wanted though was a mushroom shake which sounded so cool and i heard so much about but alas we could not find it :( so we just got a pill to keep us going. Cue the permanent grins on our face and the dancing. we moved to the beach called sunrise beach to well watch the sunrise it was pretty damn sweet especially when your out of it, so as we were coming down from the pills we planted ourselves on the beach and sat there it was so great. Although these random ppl coming up and chatting to us about stuff quite funky.
I left at 11am because i had to get a train at 5pm so i thought i'll try and get some sleep. I hopped on my bike still a lil drunk and a bit high as i was going past i picked up 2 hitchikers one brit guy and a polish girl from ealing broadway!! Well thats where all of them are aren't they. We had a great chat about shit and about the party although it was quite scary with 3 ppl on a small bike but we didn't care. The brit guy was on his gap year and is going to cambridge!! That was so funny when i heard all these cambridge and oxford ppl getting smashed out of their heads taking drugs and yet they are so fucking clever good on em.
After dropping them off, i headed home and a lil kip. I started to pack my bags feeling like shite when i noticed hmm i lost my shirt i had and my towel which i both took with me to the beach not too bothered about that.......but what really freaked me out was that i couldn't find my flight tickets......yes i lost them.
It started with the passport back in the UK and now i lost my tickets, pretty damn bad. I'm sure you are all gonna have a good ol laugh about it.
Right well i need to catch my boat so i can get the train
I'll post another msg when i arrive in KL about well wot i'm going to do :)

Just a quickie

Right people sorry for the not so updated blog I will try and up keep it up to date now.
Anyways I'll start from where I left off from Bangkok.
It was a pretty hectic city as you can imagine and well I hated it, too busy dirty and well just boring although I managed to make the most of it by buying cheap ass clothes and dvds etc as you do when you go to an asian country. I also took a tuk tuk everywhere cause they are so damn cool but they cant drive for shit.
After my horrific 2 nights in bangkok dealing with all the fecking she males and go go bars I got a train out of there for a long 12hr trip towards koh samui island which is in southern Thailand, i met loads of ppl on the train and these 2 brit girls and a bunch of Canadians. They were really cool and we were trying to teach one Canadian guy to speak some English which amused us until we got off the train. So i arrived in the city of Surat Thani which is just a city where trains arrive and boats for the island depart from so basically it was a ghost town not much too do. Anyways i took a long bus ride to get to the port and a boring 2hr boat journey nothin very exciting there. After finally arriving in Koh Samui i felt i started my gap year properly. Arriving to the scorching sun, sandy beaches and bars everywhere, first thing i did as you do is get a place to stay so i booked myself into some hotel for around 3.50 a night with A/C and telly (I decided to treat myself).
Now the thing with Thailand is that everyone rides a motorbike cause they are quick, cheap and don't need much petrol so i rented a motorbike for a couple of days. Wow that was some crazy shit, i never rode on a motorbike before so i thought it would be a good time to start and surprisingly it was very easy, thank Fuji for that. I needed to look like a cool motorcycle so i decided to get a pair of Ray Bans, also so that when I'm riding nothing decides to fly into my eyes. I was set so i hopped on and started to wing it around the island saying hello to locals and taking pictures of stuff as you do. It was a really interesting island with loads of different cultural things to see like the heaviest gold buddha, if only i could have run away with though it weighed a tonne so i guess not. Well i'm not going to describe the other 7 hours of riding i did throughout the island so i'll skip to something else.
The nightlife, now the islands koh samui and koh phangon are great for their nightlife especially with amount of farangs (foreigners my new word for it) coming over. I met some more Canadians at my hotel and we hit the town (which was about 50m from our hotel). As you would expect with anywhere in Thailand and more so here all you could see was these old men with young Thai girls quite disturbing but hey wotever floats their boat. So we go this bar called the Reggae bar cause it sounded cool and damn it was, it was a giant shrine for Bob marley with all his music playing and well loads of white rastas around it was quite weird. Started having these bob marley shakes, fuck knows wot was it but that was some good shit. After the pre drink we hit the club and we had plenty of choice so we club hopped, the clubs were really cool although there were plenty of thai girls so you had to be careful which ones you talk to as some may charge for the night, as one of the guys found out.
There are 2 main beaches in Koh Samui chaweng and lamai beach, chaweng beach is a where you wanna go for a good time out e.g loads of bars, women, clubs etc. Lamai beach was calmer but also had a good nightlife. I decided to move to lamai to get some sun and chill for the england game. Lamai did not disapoint, the beaches were amazing loads of chicks in bikinis and well good weather a great combination. So i got myself a little tan, didn't really need but hey why not and rented a jetski with some guy which was pretty crazy, i had rode one before so i boasted as you do saying i would be fine i know how to handle it. So we got off to racing up and down the water and spinning around etc. I thought i would be able to really push it too its limits so i put the gas onto full really started zipping it along until of course this small wave hit my bike and i fell sort of like Superman flying through the air before hitting the water, that hurt.
Right well i think thats enough for now i'm moving islands 2moro just for the full moon party held on Koh phangon every.....well full moon. Just to sum it up i'll try and describe it........10000+ people all getting drunk and taking loads of drugs on the beach, fireshows, loads of famous djs and the party doesn''t stop till 12pm the next day.
I shall post after if i can be bothered.
